Breakfast with the Orangutans

With good friends staying with us recently I went to have breakfast with the Orangutans at the Singapore Zoo.
Singapore Zoo is about 25 minutes north of where we live and is a large zoo in a tropical setting.
The breakfast was an early morning start with the buffet breakfast starting at 9 am and the arrival of the orangutans at about 9.30.
The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good and had a huge selection to choose from.
As it was raining the orangutans were going to be undercover and the 5 orangutans arrived on the back of a motorised golf cart and it was very funny watching them hold on to the pole for balance .
They then were led through the restaurant and then up onto there perch for the morning where they were  fed seeds and fruit. A guide introduced the orangutans and spoke about the breeding program at the zoo.
The public then are allowed to have there photo taken with them up close with either the official photographer or with your own camera.
It was an extremely enjoyable time and after the breakfast we were able to tour the zoo.
